Where’s all that QE money going

Where’s all that QE money going

“When Wall Street banks control the supply of both commodities and financial products, there’s a potential for anti-competitive behavior and manipulation,” U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown said in an e-mailed statement.

I’m slightly amazed that a member of our governing body made such a statement.  It displays a modicum of understanding that I assumed is lost or silenced when one enters public office.

I marvel at the commodity markets ability to detach itself from the laws of supply and demand.

Indoctrination, The Past Was Just a Utopian Dream

Indoctrination, The Past Was Just a Utopian Dream

I will hope to have the kind of time that I need to devote to this endeavor in the future.  In the meantime, I will point out matters of mild importance that seem to be shaping our world.

There will always be people of means and power that will have the ability to exercise a great deal of their will over others.  Their intentions will not always have ill-will at the epicenter.  They may even believe that your best interests are at stake and you lack the perspicacity to make the right decisions.

What’s truly disturbing is that our two party system has played a key part in creating this chasm.  We give a great deal of credit to our leaders during booms but fail to recognize the lag in improvement from the implementation of policy.  Our political system encourages the furtherance of the largest $ interest.

I’ve noticed a great deal of articles dedicated to living life with less and how to get a deal in various situations.   You have to start wondering, is life a zero sum game?  If the wealthy need more wealth, is that at my expense?  Think about it.

Can We Be Just a Little More Lame

Making the human form into something that we should revile or be ashamed of is repugnant.  Grow up,  I guess we should start applying towels to the nude works of art of yore.  Some of us have the ability to appreciate w/out an adolescent titter.

If you haven’t seen it, ESPN’s Body Issue is tastefully done and manages to evoke visions of classic Greek sculptures with a modern bent.
